bones and dog parks!

We were gone this weekend so we didn't get to participate in the Pawty. And now I feel really left out because everyone else got to chat with their friends and I didn't. But a few good things happened over the weekend.... First of all, Mean Sister Fig got a bone to chew. She didn't eat it all, so I managed to sneak around and get it and chew on it before anyone caught me!

I had to eat it really quickly, since I'm not supposed to have bones because of my pancreatitis and liver problems. It was SO GOOD!!! I don't even care if I have diarrhea for the next week - it was worth it!

And THEN we went to a dog park!!! I've never been to a dog park! It was crazy! Full of dogs! Running around! Peeing on things! Laying in puddles! Chasing each other! Massah didn't bring the camera because Mean Sister Fig came along too and she's mean and had to be kept on a leash and watched all the time so Massah didn't think she could take pictures at the same time. I didn't quite know what to think. I mostly wandered around looking for poo to eat (didn't find any, by the way) and smelling things. Fig kept snapping at other dogs and was being "THAT DOG", according to Massah. I think if we keep going there, we will get used to it and start playing nicely with the other doggies. However, Massah didn't pay any attention to how much sun I was getting, and I ended up getting SUN BURNED!!! Look at how RED I am!!!

Whenever I feel bad, I have to lay ON TOP OF Massah, so that's what I did all night long last night. I laid on her chest and face so that she couldn't breathe. I smashed my face into her nose. And curled my body around her neck and cut off the blood supply to her brain. And laid my body across her mouth. She thinks I do it because I want to make her as miserable as I am, but really it's because she is the only person who can make me feel better and I want to be as close to her as I can. I didn't feel good!

So we were both pretty uncomfortable last night, but I'm feeling better today - not quite the red lobster that I was yesterday. I sure hope she remembers to bring sun screen next time!

Poor Tadpole! I bet next time she pays attention to how long you're in the sun! Last year my Mom got sunburned really bad during a parade and I had to hear her whine a lot. She actually found out the sunscreen she used had expired 5 years ago (It was a bottle Dad had in his camping stuff)! This weekend is that parade again and she's checked the expiration date on her sunscreen and made sure she had enough. When you go out with your Mom again, make sure she checks the expiration date!

Poor Tad! The things you have to go through! I'm glad you had fun at the dog park, though. Next time you go, you'll be more prepared.

Oh no Tadpole!!!! Can doggies use regular sunblock, like humans? I would've never thunk you'd get sunburned!

Oh no! That's a terrible sunburn. You need some Hawaiian Tropic Sunscreen! Except then you'd smell like a cononut and someone might try to eat you.

I missed you at the Pawty.

wally.

ps. Awesome to hear that you are Pupzac for your peeps! We really should charge for our lifesaving services, eh?

Oh man, that looks like it hurts. Hopefully after sleeping on her face, she'll remember to bring the sunscreen next time.

Mommy doesn't let me go to the dogpark anymore, I get out of breath and heated up within 5 minutes, then I start throwing up! It's not a pretty sight. But I'm glad you had a good time.

Oh, no, its a RED TADPOLE! That looks like it doesn't feel good at all. We hope that the dog park trip was worth it though. Don't worry, you and Fig will get used to it. When we first went to the dog park, we were scared too. Now it is the best place in the world next to the human's bed. Its like Disneyland for dogs! Hope you're over your sunburn soon. Oh little Tadpole, I'm sorry you got sunburned. I know how much they hurt (well mom remembers because she used to get sunburned all the time when she was young and they never used sunscreen back then...but I won't give away any ages here)!

Maybe you would need to wear a really light t-shirt (not white of course) during the hot days so you don't get sunburned again.

We feel for you little one. Can you put aloe vera on that to make you feel better??

BIG hugs from Billy Boo:)

P.S. I really missed you in the chat room over the weekend. But we heard it will stay open forever, so maybe we will see you there another time.

P.P.S. I don't know if that is true. The part about the chat room staying open, I mean.

Owie Tad, that looks sore! Hopefully you won't peel! We don't have dog parks as such ehre in the UK, but they always sound like fun when you US doggies talk about them.

Massah needs to remember the sunscreen. You poor thing. Even if you didn't lay on Massah to make her uncomfortable it's what she deseves for letting you get sunburned. Humans

Oh poor Taddy...
Sunburn is the worst. My Mom has to put sunscreen on my nose or it gets burned too...I can only imagine how sore you feel. Lots of licks to make you all better.

Really sad you didn't get to come to the Pawty...I missed you and Fig!

Feel better...Lots of extra licks, Ruby

G'day Tad, I sure missed seeing you at the Paw-ty. Bad, bad massah! Not letting you paw-ty and getting you all sun burned! I hope she gives you some nice cuddles! The chat room is staying open, so there will be more chances to pawty. xxx Asta (oz)
