watch out!

You will NOT BELIEVE what happened last night!!!!! We were outside trying to make some pee-pee in the grass, when all of a sudden Massah saw me jump 3 feet into the air and 2 feet to the side. She said it looked like a little bomb went off under me and threw me up and off to the side. She didn't really think a whole lot about it, because I tend to do rather random things from time to time, but when she looked back a minute later she saw a SNAKE SLITHERING RIGHT NEXT TO ME!!!!! It attacked me and tried to swallow me whole, that's why I jumped! She let out a odd-sounding strangled cry, and pulled me and Fig away from it because she couldn't tell if it was poisonous or not. She couldn't remember that little rhyme about the colors so I tried to help her... is it something like this?

Red on Black, better stay back.

Yellow on Red, you are dead.

Black on Yellow, watch it, fellow!

White on Green, it is mean.

Red on White, fight fight fight!

Purple on Blue, eat some poo!

One of those, I think. Anyway, it was about 37 feet long and it's mouth was as big as Fig's belly - HUGE!!! But we don't know what kind it was. This is where we saw it.

Massah-in-law says it was a GARDEN SNAKE or something...? If those things are deadly poisonous, capable of swallowing me whole, and constricting around my lungs and asphixiating me, then that's what it was. We are going to be VERY careful out there in the future.

Wow Taddy that is scawie...I'm glad you and Fig are ok. Must have been funny to see you jump tho'. Hey when Massah screamed like that...did it scare the snakey away?

Inquiring minds want to know...

OH MY DOG! That is so scary. Beyond scary. It's a good thing you jumped away in time....or else you would have been the snake's dinner!!!

Actually, Massah was very brave to only scream. If it were my Mommy, she would have probably made pee pee on the grass too.

My pop keeps telling my mama that there is a snake in our backyard - but she (and I) have never seen it. I think he's just trying to scare her...as if she needs anymore else to be scared about in our backyard!

Tad - you are a strong guy...I'm absolutely certain that you would've crushed that snake to save the day!

You're almost as bad as my Big Sissy... Too bad Massah didn't let Fig get close to it. I'm sure your big brave sister would have bit it and handicapped it, tortured it by playing with the wounded snake, and then finally kill him off, teaching a lesson to all life-threatening creatures that may skwirm their way into your domain.

A snake yuck! We are lucky we don't have any here and if we do, it's only small ones nothing that would harm us. We have never really seen one here but you can be sure if we do, the whole world would know because mom's scream would be heard LOUD and clear!

Glad you are all okay:)

BIG hugs from Billy Boo:)

Woah, scawie stuff. We saw a nake the other day, but all British snakes are completely harmless so we don't need to worry too much.

I like the poem, are you sure about the last line though, hehehe!

Whoa Tadpole! I would have been terrified to see such a big snake. Whatever it may be according to the rhyme, I would probably run a mile.

We don't have snakes here ... not the slitherly kind ... I mean, not the kind that don't have legs. I think the guys at the used car lot down the street are probably snakes and they might try to eat me whole, but I would just bite them in the crotch. That's what you have to do, Tad. Bite that snake in the crotch. It has to have a crotch doesn't it? Now that I think about it, that's a really weird sounding word.

Close call, Tad man. Do a little reconnaissance next time before making the peepee.

Glad you're whole and intact.

Goob love,
Stanley
