weekend fun (and not so fun)

Massah had high hopes for me this weekend, and I let her down. We went to the dog park so I could meet all kinds of friends and play and play and chase frisbees and wrassle with the big doggins, but I didn't feel like it. True, there was a lovely Boxer, a couple Border Collies, and a beautiful Yellow Lab, but I just wasn't feeling sociable. I did play with the Yellow Lab for about 12 seconds, but then I decided it was more fun to walk around and smell things. I slowly ambled and sniffed around the perimeter of the fence, taking in the sights and smells. I think I made it around 3 and a half times before Massah decided I was wasting her time and that I could ramble around the yard at home instead, if I didn't want to play with anyone. I don't know what was wrong with her - maybe she got a flea up her bum (that can make you irritable - I know that from experience). So we went home. I'd rather play with a water bottle cap anyway.

Massah called me a silly duckling. But ahhhh.... I love those little things!

It could be worse. Actually on Saturday my two dogs got to go to the park twice where they ran and played and wrestled and all but on Sunday they went to the vet and got jabbed with needles and the vet shot yellow stuff up their noses.

Maybe the dog park has BETTER things to smell and see than your yard, HMPH! Mean Massah!

Anyway I'm glad you had some fun at the dog park. I wish I could play with water bottle caps, my mommys is always so nervous~its just so sad.

Tad...
My friend Lulu like to do perimeter searches at the park too...it is her way of making sure all us doggins are safe. She doesn't do it all the time, sometimes she plays too so tell Massah to not give up on you and you certainly shouldn't feel like you let her down!

well I think you were just checking the place out. You have to do a good perimeter search before you know it is safe to play.

I went to the Dog Park this weekend too, but I ran and ran and ran & played and played and had all kinds of fun! I'm a little bigger than you T-man. You need to find some friends your own size...that might not be so intimidating.

Hi, Tad.
I wish I had a dog park to go there and play with other friends! Maybe this time you weren't in the mud to go there, right? I'd say those things happen!
I like to chew on bottle caps too! Great cheap toys!
Have a nice day

I'm like that when I go to the dog park too - mostly because I'm afraid of all the big doggies there, and just need my time to get accimated, and check out all the pee-mail. After about 15 minutes I start to play a bit. I'm not allowed to have bottle caps, because I swallow them.

Sweet! I love bottles and bottle caps. Mommy was worried at first but then just decided she'd keep a close eye on me to make sure I'm not eating them.

I'm too naughty still to go to the dog park. Unlike you, I am relentless in my pursuit of doggy playtime. So much so that other dogs get really annoyed and snappy and I'm all like, "What's their problem!?"

Tad,

What can I say, man? Not every day is a dog park kind of day. Or, maybe it's a dog park kind of day but not a playing kind of day. Tell Massah to let you be and to take you back to the dogpark some other time.

Tadpole, you are one complex dog, dude, but still completely smoochilicious (that's from my girl who loves your cute snout). (*I'm rolling my eyes right out of my head, here*).

Goob love,
Stanley

My person takes me to the dog park all the time. I do have my favorite wrestling friends like Milo and Palmer. My person doesn't like the balls he finds on the ground. I don't know why he keeps throwing them but I go and get them for him time after time. Eventually I think he needs a "clue" so I don't bring it back to him. You should try wrestling at the dog park.

Hye Tad! My cousin and you would make a good team. She takes the bottle caps off and plays with the bottle!

Well, here is something interesting. When *I* go to the dogpark *I* only like walking around the outside too. HOWEVER, Tanner loves playing with silly water caps. How can you be like ME and like Tanner?

This hurts my brain.

Tad... don't worry about the dog park. Sometimes there just isn't anything or anydog worth sniffing or peeing on. Last time I went... i just sat in my mama's shadow hehehheh lol

Yad, a boy's gotta do what a boy's gotta do. I don't like going to the park anymore. And sometimes when I WOULD go I would spend all my time sniffing and peeing on all the places other dogs had been.
To each their own, massah!

Oh, I was there in the park with lots of doggies to play with & tennis balls flying everywhere, I would have enjoyed myself! Maybe it was too hot for you Tad or you just wasn't in the mood to socialize with anyone. It's okay...That happens to me when I'm not feeling good too. Playing bottle caps is good! Just don't swallow it...

Hey Tad,
That's ok...I'm not too good with other dogs too. I'm always *lagging* behind and not in the action of things. Else I'll just hide with my Dad or Mom.

Was it your first time at the DP? My first time there I was so scared that I tried to climb the fence to get out--and there weren't even any other dogs there!!! So you are braver than me.

Tadpole you look very happy with your bottlecap. Momma won't let us have any of those 'cause I always try to eat them and momma's afraid it will make me get sick.
